Dave Loeffel is the Founder and CEO of Highlands Residential, a development company committed to providing real estate where people make amazing memories, thrive in the present, and dream of the future.
Throughout his career, Dave has facilitated the development of over 27 residential communities, helping to create over 3,000 homes. He has a strong understanding of what drives successful design, coupled with a desire to make a difference in the lives of active adults who are embarking on their next phase of life. Born out of his need to find quality housing for his own mother – and being unable to find it – Highlands Residential provides highly amenitized, service-based rental communities for active adults that allows them to live in close proximity to their families and to services like healthcare, shopping, and dining. Highlands Residential focuses on providing a higher standard of living by understanding what’s important to those 55 and over: investing in their grandchildren, cherishing their friendships, volunteering in the community, and seeing the world.
Dave holds an MBA from Emory’s Goizeuta Business School and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with the CFA Institute, a program that emphasizes advanced investment analysis and real-world portfolio management skills. Throughout his decades-long career, Dave has worked to address the needs of homeless individuals in Atlanta, serving on the board of the Atlanta Real Estate Collaborative (AREC), the Atlanta Affordable Housing Fund and Open Doors.
